Blavatsky's and Olcott's Tibet (May 22nd to June 7th/8th)

Mme. Blavatsky and Col. Olcott were the first Westerners to introduce Tibetan mysticism to Europe and America. Their connection was with Lama Tsongkhapa, founder of the Yellow School, and especially with Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Southwest Tibet, the source of Blavatsky’s spiritual teachers.

Our spiritual journey will begin in Bejing, from where we fly to Tibet. We will then begin in Tsetang and the Olkha Valley, where Tsongkhapa practiced meditation for many years, before continuing by bus over the high mountain passes encasing the sacred Turquoise Lake en route to Gyantse and Shigatse. After meditating in Tashi Lhunpo during the full moon of Saga Dawa, the most holy month of the year on the Buddhist calendar, we will take the northern river vally road to Lhasa. Here we will visit and meditate in many other power places blessed by Tsongkhapa and the various Dalai Lamas.
