Buddhist Art Activities

One of the ways of communicating the enlightenment experience is by means of the arts. Over the past three decades Glenn has written a half dozen books on the Buddhist fine arts, and curated a dozen exhibitions.

He has also organized numerous tours of Tibetan lamas performing Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Peace and Healing, many of which visited a hundred or so cities, read more on this click. These tours began with the Gyumey Tantric College in 1986 and then the Gyuto Tantric College in 1987. They continued with the Drepung Loseling tours, which he organized from 1988 to 1995. Loseling later opened an office in Atlanta to continue this important work of “sharing enlightenment culture.” In addition to temple music and dance, the lamas made sand mandalas, performed ancient rituals in temples and homes, gave lectures, and so on.
